Siloam Mountain Park is a 25-acre passive recreational park, high on a hill overlooking the Fishing River Valley. It is immediately south of Fishing River Linear Park and East Valley Park, and is know for its breathtaking views overlooking the valley.

The park offers several shelters with picnic tables and grills, modern restrooms, playgrounds, asphalt parking areas and large, grassy terraces rimmed with deciduous forest. This park accommodates large gatherings.

Almost as soon as the medicinal properties of the mineral waters in Excelsior Springs were discovered, people began flocking to the community. Construction could not keep up with the demand for lodging, and tents soon sprung up on the hills overlooking the Fishing River valley. A historic photograph, taken prior to 1989, reveals that one of the sites that was used by campers was the area referred to as "Carnation Hill", which is today Siloam Mountain Park.

In 1919, the park was expanded and a driveway was established to overlook the city, one of the most picturesque and artistic sections of the entire boulevard system. In 1924, another tract of land was purchased for the expansion of Carnation Hill for the construction of a tourist camping ground. Completed in 1925, the grounds provided ovens, hot and cold water, shower facilities, shelter house, laundry facilities and a cave where tourists were allowed to keep provisions. The park received 560 cars, with an average of 3.6 persons per car the first year. Campers would stay anywhere from one day to three weeks.

Eventually the name Carnation Hill was dropped, and the park became known as Siloam Mountain.
